Classes & Programs
We know that our police department is better if we work closely with our community. A variety of classes are offered to educate residents and businesses on crime prevention, which also helps us learn more about safety issues that are affecting our community. We also offer several services, such as Helmet Fitting and Home Security Assessments that can be scheduled individually. If you are interested in a class or program that you don’t see here, please let us know!

Check out our list of upcoming classes and register today! Most are held at the Police Department Training Room, but let us know if you’d like a special presentation at your workplace or at a community meeting.

Neighborhood Watch

We have more than 50 active neighborhood watch programs in Redmond. Watch Captains meet regularly to discuss challenges in their neighborhoods and share creative ways to solve them. Learn more about starting a new neighborhood watch here!

Community Police Academy

This 12-week program helps familiarize the public with common police procedures, activities and investigative techniques.

Our 2019 class will be from January 17 to April 4, 2019.
Registration is now closed.

Paws on Patrol

A new program, Paws on Patrol enlists the help of those out walking their dogs. When out and about, you may see things that need to be reported. This program helps walkers know what to look out for, when to report it, and how.
