Redmond Police Department

To the Redmond Community:
Welcome to the RPD website! Our department consists of approximately 130 employees who are responsible for providing excellent law enforcement services to our community. We respond to approximately 500 calls for service each week while practicing a very community oriented/problem solving style of policing. Redmond Police Department is very proud to hold ourselves accountable to the accreditation standards recommended by the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs (WASPC).

We recruit, hire, and train high caliber employees and encourage career development to meet the varied challenges faced in law enforcement. We continuously foster relationships and collaboration with private sector security, businesses, apartment complexes, neighborhoods, schools, faith communities, and other city departments.

Our Vision

Redmond Police Department is an organization dedicated to customer service and problem solving through collaboration and communication. We work to ensure an environment which values trust, excellence, and accountability through leadership.

Since 2012 we have seen a significant increase in the number of property crimes reported in our community. Your safety is our top priority and we encourage you to take an active role to ensure Redmond remains an incredible place to live, work, and play. If you would like to be included on our email distribution list, please email crimeprevention@redmond.gov.

We look forward to serving and working with you.

Be Aware of 911 Call Spoofing

The week of October 6th, 2015, we were notified that a few Redmond residents just received unsolicited calls, with the caller id number showing as 911. Please be advised this is a caller id spoofing scam, as the organization calling is not associated with RPD. They may be offering some type of immigration assistance, but we advise you do not provide any personal information or send money, if requested to do so. If for any reason, Redmond Police or the City of Redmond need to make contact with you, 9-1-1 would NOT show up in the caller id. If you have any questions, please call our non-emergency number at 425.556.2500.
