Redmond Police Department

To the Redmond Community:

Welcome to the RPD website! Our department consists of approximately 125 employees, about 66% of which are commissioned officers. We respond to approximately 500 calls for service each week and strive to maintain the highest standards set by the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs (WASPC).

We recruit, hire, and train high caliber employees and encourage career development to meet the varied challenges faced in law enforcement. We continuously foster relationships and communication with private sector security, businesses, apartment complexes, neighborhoods, schools, faith communities, and other city departments.

Your safety is our top priority and we encourage you to take an active role to ensure Redmond remains an incredible place to live, work, and play. If you would like to be included on our email distribution list, please email crimeprevention@redmond.gov.

We look forward to serving and working with you.

Regards,

Ron Gibson
Chief of Police
