Seating:  Bring a blanket to spread on the grass or your favorite lawn chair.  (In the event of rain, the concert will move inside to the Fred Meitzer Theater adjacent to the Garden Plaza)

Feel free to pack a picnic supper or take advantage of the two food carts joining the festivities:  Secret Sausage and Moonie Icy Tunes.  Secret Sausage features sausages on a roll with chips and a beverage; Moonie Icy Tunes has all kinds of novelty ice cream.

Polly O'Keary and The Rhythm Method

Polly O'Keary, award-winning and world-touring bass player, vocalist and songwriter, is back in the northwest with a brand new band, Polly O'Keary and the Rhythm Method. She has had a long career in blues, and brings 25 years of experience to the stage. She was first named Washington Blues Society Female Vocalist of the Year in 2004, and has won it twice more since then, as well as many other awards and nominations. Performing with Polly are Tommy Cook, and Clint "Seattle Slim" Nonemaker.

Snake Oil Blues Elixir

Snake Oil Blues Elixir is a blues, blues-rock based band featuring the interplay of guitarists Mark Riley and Rod Cook. Both are well known and respected for their work in various local ensembles as well as fronting their own band and both have received multiple Best of the Blues awards from the Washington Blues Society. Drummer Marty Vadalabene and bassist Jon Bayless provide a versatile and inventive foundation. The group mixes traditional blues standards with original material

Black Velvet 4

Black Velvet 4 excites the stage with great musicianship, solid vocals and all around good energy. They perform Blues music such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tedachi as well as Classic Rock and more for a feel good experience! The band includes Christy McKinnon Wheeler on keyboards and vocals, Roger Keith Wheeler on guitar and vocals, Martin Rush on bass guitar and vocals, and Brad Stoll on drums.

The WIRED! Blues Band

The WIRED! Blues Band from Seattle, Washington, won the prestigious International Blues Challenge at the Orpheum Theater in Memphis, Tennessee, in February 2012, after a four-day competition on Beale Street amongst hundreds of bands from around the world. The band has won numerous Washington Blues Society Best of the Blues awards, including three-time Best Blues Band and the Best Blues Album, and performs in blues festivals throughout the Pacific Northwest. The band includes Neal 'Virgil' Brown on guitar and lead vocal, Keith Kakke on bass and vocal, and Rick Jacobson on drums and vocal.

Nick Vigarino's Meantown Blues

Nick Vigarino radiates an unpredictable fervor with slashing slide guitar, powerful vocals, funky licks, modern lyrics, and his ‘slop jar delta funk’ blues. His style elevates the ‘blues’ to a place where roots are respected, yet nudged towards the future. He consistently captures, and then rivets listeners with precise, passionate performances. Nick took 2013’s Best of the Blues Award for Lifetime Achievement as well as the Best Duo Act for 2013. The Washington Blues Society also awarded Nick the 2012 Best Slide Blues Guitar award. Having earned finalist status at the 2011 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Nick Vigarino is now globally recognized as one of the top blues acts in the world.
