Began Redmond Arts Day at City Council to kick off Arts in the Parks summer concerts with micro concert in Council Chambers InkSplash, writing contests held as part of Artsplash

Began Arts Plan information gathering/focus groups (1988)
Hosted the Designer Craftsmen Art Exhibit at Justice White House for Washington State Centennial

1987

RAC formed by ordinance, April
RAC developed foundation documents: adopted bylaws i.e. Rules of Procedure and Mission, Framework of Goals and Objectives (1987)
Began Redmond Children's Playhouse and Missoula Children's Theatre Residency in tandem P & R. (Ran through 1999)
ArtSplash, sponsored by Redmond Downtown Association, has its inaugural festival, supported by RAC to do poster contest artwork. (City took over in 1993 when RDA went out of business (lost City funding) ran through 1997)
