Farmer in Training (FIT) Program

Designed to help prepare teens for their first job, the FIT program offers valuable skills and hands-on experience working with children and farm animals in a camp setting.

Farrel-McWhirter Riding Club

Love horses? Need community service hours for NHS or college applications? Join the Farrel-McWhirter Riding Club and get hands-on experience with horses and ponies while helping young riders learn about the Equestrian world. The Riding Club holds monthly meetings, offers riding lessons and horsemanship trainings for members, and provides opportunities for advanced equestrian education. Applications are accepted year-around and can be found at www.redmond.gov under Farrel-McWhirter Riding School. New Member Orientations are held three times per year in February, May, and October. Participants must attend a New Member Orientation prior to volunteering.

Age: 12-17 yrs
Fee: $45 per calendar year
