Community Events
There are several opportunities around the year to volunteer at community events. Below is a list of events including a brief description, time of the year, and how to sign up to volunteer.

Derby Days

Description: Redmond Derby Days is a summer festival that includes parades, community races, a 5k race/walk, live music, bicycle Criterium, food, carnival, craft breweries from Redmond and fireworks extravaganza! For more information, visit www.redmondderbydays.com
Dates: Two-day event in early July (Friday and Saturday)

So Bazaar

Description: With roots in the exciting street life throughout Asia, So Bazaar is a market and imaginative platform for local artists, artisans, chefs, and entertainers. On three nights in August, the streets of Downtown Redmond come alive with surprising performances, art installations, artisanal foods, fine art and opportunities for social engagement.
Dates: Three consecutive Thursday nights in August

Redmond Lights

Description: Tree lighting at city hall, holiday river walk to Redmond Town Center, food, music and entertainment, and kids activities. For more information, visit www.redmondlights.com.
Dates: First Saturday in December

5K Races

Description: We have a variety of exciting and unique 5K races including the Beat the Bunny 5K in the spring, Poultry Predictor 5K Run/Walk in November, and the Grass Lawn 5K Series that takes place on an ongoing basis from spring through fall. It's a great way to meet others, experience different areas of Redmond and get in better shape along the way! For more information, visit www.redmond.gov/races.
