Resource Consumption. The amount of waste per single-family customer per week decreased from 56 pounds per single-family customer per week in 2013, to 53 pounds in 2014. The recycling rate among single-family customers decreased slightly to 64 percent. The rolling three-year average water consumption increased to 272 million cubic feet, though per capita use did not change.

Streams. Of the stream core sample sites, 7 of 8 have water quality index scores greater than 40; streams with scores between 40 and 79 are considered "marginal." Of 9 stream sites sampled for BIBI scores ("bug index" scores), none exceeded a score of 35, which is the minimum score to support native habitat. The average BIBI score for the 2013-2014 water year was 24.5, an increase from last year's average score of 18.5.

Parks and Open Space. In the 2015 citizen survey, 94 percent of survey respondents reported being very satisfied or satisfied with the quality of Redmond’s parks, trail and open space system, up from 88 percent in 2009.
